Submit to briefs for A&R consideration, make purposeful submissions to maximize your chances, and understand your brief submission limitations
Via the SURF Music brief portal, you will be able to submit songs and demos directly for opportunities available on the platform. Please make sure you done the following before you proceed with the steps below:
＊Make sure that you upload any songs you would like to submit in your Library, and ensure they are "submitted" to the Marketplace
＊To participate in brief submissions you must have an active paid subscription. Each brief submission credit will refresh in 30-days. (for details on subscription limitations, click here)
1. Please go to the "Brief" tab in the top menu bar, and select the brief you would like to submit to. You will have the ability to view all active creative briefs here.
2. Look through the options located on the left menu bar under the image, and select the option that makes most sense for you.
Search My Library (Magic Search)
By clicking on "Search My Library" the system will automatically pull the hyperlinked references in the brief into a Magic Search engine. The system's AI will find the best options in your catalog of songs that match the references provided in the brief, and from there you can create a playlist that you can submit directly to the opportunity.
If you are managing more than one creator, you will also have the option to search through just one, multiple, or all of your creators' catalogs by clicking "Creator Filters". Similarly, if you have specific playlists that you have built (e.g. "available for pitch" VS. "work in progress"), you can do that as well by clicking "Playlist Filters".
Submit Track(s)
When you hit "Submit Tracks" it will pull up all the songs in your catalog. Please select the track(s) you would like to submit with the far left check boxes, and hit "Submit Selected" at the bottom of the page.
Submit Playlist
When you hit "Submit Playlist" it will pull up a search bar of playlists you have already built. You can submit a full playlist of songs.
*Remember, each song in a playlist will count towards your submission count.
BRIEF SUBMISSION QUOTA EXPLAINED
Each tier of subscription comes with a brief submission quota. The chances of a placement is maximized when you submit the most relevant songs to each brief. Therefore it is important that you analyze the parameters of the brief, and select the best songs for submission.
***Please note that song submission credit refreshes based on 30 days after its submission, and is not calculated within each month. This means that once you have maximized your submissions to briefs, the next time you are able to submit will depend on when the first song(s) was/were originally submitted.***
