What are Briefs?

This section describes the features and usage of Briefs.

“Briefs” on the SURF platform are leads that come directly from labels. Through creative briefs, labels and A&R staff can find material ranging from a single title track to a full album of tracks for an upcoming release. As SURF’s exclusive briefs are highly confidential, artist profiles are typically kept anonymous, but references and concept guidelines are provided to ensure Creators can submit tracks that will be well received.

Briefs can be found in the brief dashboard, as shown below.

What is a Brief 1

Each Brief includes a short description of the artist, the project deadline, and other relevant information about what kind of tracks the label is looking for (genres, mood, BPM, etc). There is also a reference section containing inspiration tracks and their YouTube links.

What is a Brief 2

What is a Brief 3Press "Submit Track(s)" to submit a Marketplace track or “Search My Library” to submit a track directly from your library.
